CALL TO ORDER

 

Meeting called to order at: 3:22 PM

Also present: Scott Hartman, Deputy County Administrator; Suzanne Ziebart, Assistant Director of Human Resources; Alicia Schueller, Director of Public Affairs; Thomas Cahill, Senior Assistant State's Attorney; Terri Greeno, County Board Member.

NEW BUSINESS

 

Mr. Hartman introduces Mr. Cahill, Senior Assistant State's Attorney, and Ms.Ziebart, Assistant Director of Human Resources who will be stepping into her new role as Advisor to the Ethics Commission and the Director of Human Resources when Ms. Chukwu retires later that week.

Ethics Ordinance Review and Recommendations

 

Commission members continue their review of the revised working draft of the Ethics Ordinance that incorporated the following discussion consensus: 

  • Public Defender exemption
  • Inclusion of candidates in prohibited political activity and gift ban
  • Amended training provisions
  • Addition of the vice chair
  • Term for the chair & vice chair

Mr. Hartman informs the commission their next meeting will be in the second week of September 2024 where they will continue the discussion of the work draft of the Ethics Ordinance.
